(1986-90)
The company RR Financial Consultants Ltd (RR) was incorporated on 4th March 1986. It is a first generation business started by two brothers Rohit Prasad and Rajat Prasad both qualified C.A’s.

The Indian Financial Markets were going through a major `Bear’ phase, which continued till 1989. The promoter got themselves a seat on The Delhi Stock Exchange during the market boom of 1990. Immediately thereafter, fortunes turned for the Company and it soon established its presence in the Indian Financial Markets.

(1990-92)
The firm continued to ride the wave of the booming Equities and Debt markets and by 1992 was established as a major player in the primary and secondary segments of both the Debt and Equity markets. RR survived the `Crash of 92’ on account of its conservative approach based on promoter’s sound understanding of the local markets.

(1992-95)
RR consolidated its’ businesses and started building a dedicated network for distribution of financial products. It soon became a national player in marketing of financial products and shifted offices to a newer and more fashionable location in Connaught Place, New Delhi. The firm also established a full-fledged office in Mumbai. It registered itself as a Category – I Merchant Bank with Securities & Exchange Board of India in 1995. Within a period of two years, RR found a place amongst the top Investment Banks in India.

PUBLIC ISSUE – (NOV, 2004)

RR had its IPO in Nov. 1994 for the Equity Share of 15, 00,000 of Rs. 10/- each aggregating Rs. 750 Lacs. The Public issue received a great response and the issue got over subscribed by four times. Presently the company RR Financial Consultants Limited listed in BSE with the BSE code as 511626

(1995-2000)
In the most challenging times ever witnessed by the Indian Capital Markets, earmarked by – chaos, confusion, pessimism and depression – when foreign firms with strong capital support, modern technology, global markets and International clients swamped over independent local players in all segments of the market -–RR stands out as the lone exception to be able to grow independently without aligning with any international major.
